ELISABETTA LOMBARDO

Elisabetta Lombardo is an Italian ceramic artist, educator, and writer based in Berlin. Working mainly with porcelain and stoneware, she hand-builds both functional and sculptural vessels that explore the relationship between material, time, and planetary consciousness. Her background in human rights law and international relations adds depth and reflection to her artistic process.

As co-founder of Kleistone Studio, she teaches ceramics and fosters a creative community around the medium. Her work, influenced by planetary science and mineral transformation, examines clay as a bridge between the human body, the earth, and cosmic forces.

Elisabetta’s pieces have been shown in Berlin and will appear in 1000 Vases during Paris Design Week and Maison & Objet (2025). She was also a finalist in the International Tea Bowl Competition in Wrocław and contributed to Cuerpos de Agua at Berlin’s nGbK. She writes the newsletter Notes of a Ceramic Artist, reflecting on ceramics’ history and its role in contemporary culture.
